we are more than happy to share today’s update from Michael Hess (NOH) with you.
He is telling all of us a bit more about Hope’s journey so far and what the near future has in store for his courageous little girl:

“Hope had revision surgery at Shriners Hospital in Boston , Massachusetts.
Shriners takes in burns mostly and some orthopedic patients from all over the world and treats them using some of the worlds best physicians free of cost.
It is a wonderful organization.
Hope’s surgery was successful and two weeks later the bandages came off and she was able to begin wearing her prosthetics again, a little bit each day.
Next week on the 18th of March we are going to Connecticut to NEOPS where they will work with her to make top of the line prosthetics,
this will take about 10 days and then we are on the plane for home (Nepal) again.
We can’t wait though we are so indebted to the many people who have made this journey possible and we bring them all home in our hearts.”

Wir freuen uns das heutige Update von Michael Hess (dem Chef von NOH) mit Euch teilen zu dürfen.

Er berichtet uns, was bisher auf Hopes Reise passiert ist, und was die nahe Zukunft für sein kleines, tapferes Mädchen bringen wird.

“Hope hatte im Shriners Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts eine Wiederaufbau / Korrektur – OP.
Das Shriners nimmt Patienten aus der ganzen Welt auf.
Die meisten Menschen weisen schwerste Verbrennungen auf, aber sie behandeln auch – wie hier – orthopädische Fälle.
Sie werden von einigen der weltbesten Ärzten und Chirurgen kostenfrei behandelt.
Eine wunderbare Organisation.
Hopes OP war erfolgreich und nach 2 Wochen wurden die Verbände entfernt und sie konnte wieder damit anfangen
ihre Prothesen zu tragen, jeden Tag ein bisschen.
Nächste Woche, am 18. März geht es weiter nach Conneticut zu NEOPS, wo man mit Hope sehr hochwertige Prothesen erarbeiten wird.
Dieser Prozess wird weitere 10 Tage dauern, aber danach geht es dann ab ins Flugzeug und zurück nach Hause (Nepal).
Wir können unsere Rückreise natürlich kaum abwarten, aber wir wissen auch, das wir vielen Menschen – die diese Reise ermöglicht und die uns auf ihr begleitet haben – zu allergrößtem Dank verpflichtet sind. Und wir werden sie alle in unseren Herzen mit nach Hause nehmen.”

denn wir wissen Hopes Reise hat gerade erst angefangen.
