FACTS 2017 = The perfect occasion to celebrate CAD 10.000 raised for “Sanctuary for Kids”
(between November 2012 and March 2017).
Sorry it took us so long to post this update, but somehow day to day life got in the way…
FACTS 2017 in Ghent was a great experience: A beautiful city, meeting up with lots of old and new friends and of course having the chance to see Amanda Tapping, one of the heads of “S4K”.
PLUS we had a wonderful reason to celebrate as we had officially cracked the big CAD 10.000 for “Sanctuary for Kids” in March.
CAD 10.000 (!) in less than 4,5 years!
This number is amazing, especially when keeping in mind that we – the two of us and YOU guys – are just a small number of friends doing crazy things, trying to make the world a better place in our own little capacity. Don’t forget that we are doing this in our spare time, without any support from the outside or finacial backing… And we still LOVE it!
All of our fundraisers start off by having a crazy idea, followed by writing Emails and / or making phonecalls and hopefully result in recruiting clubs / companies to team up.
The goal: Introducing “Sanctuary for Kids” and all supported projects and charities to the outside world and of course raising money! It is fascinating how many people agree to get involved and help, once they learn the facts and see proof that their money and efforts will make a change for those in need!
But of course the backbone of all of these activities are YOU, our friends and supporterts!
It does not matter to us if you are a participant, a financial or moral supporter!
EVERYONE matters to us! We could not do this without you!
And it means the world to us to get all of your positive feedback 🙂

This is why we came up with the idea of personalized cupcakes. And they were a huge success!
YES we did cause a few raised eyebrows in Belgium, but mostly warm smiles and positive reactions…
