We were more than happy to be back on the springboard from July 29th – July 30th 2017 for “The World Championship Splashdiving 2017” with #Splashdiving_2
Like last year, the event took place at the Badezentrum Sindelfingen near Stuttgart, Germany.

In addition to running the “Action for S4K” booth and selling cupcakes, we teamed up with Splashdiving.com for the following, international join-in activity in aid of “Sanctuary for Kids” :
The “Loving Peace Bomb” Hashtag: #PeaceBomb
Why this strange title for a fundraiser?
As some of you may know, Splashdiving is unfortunately strongly connected to the word bomb.
This is because the name of the original jump itself is formed with the “bomb” or another word of violence in many languages:
English: Poolbomb or Cannonball
German: Arschbombe
Italian: Tuffo a Bomba
With this campaign we want to prove that „Splashdiving“ is a very peaceful sport, completely opposing violence and racism, standing for international friendships, help and humanitarian work.
That is why we asked EVERYONE to do a #PeaceBomb – a cannonball – in aid of “Sanctuary for Kids” – with a fabulous result:

Vom 29. – 30. Juli 2017 waren wir mit #Splashdiving_2 zum zweiten Mal auf dem Sprungbrett zu finden. Wir haben uns irre gefreut, wieder bei der “Splashdiving Weltmeisterschaft 2017” im Badezentrum Sindelfingen dabei gewesen zu sein, große Wellen für Kinder in Not machen zu dürfen und „Sanctuary for Kids“ zu unterstützen.

Zusätzlich zur Betreuung des “Action for S4K” Standes und dem Verkauf von Cupcakes, haben wir uns mit Splashdiving.com für folgende, internationale Mitmach-Aktion zusammen getan:

Warum dieser Name für einen Fundraiser?
In vielen Sprachen wird “Splashdiving” automatisch mit dem Begriff der Bombe assoziiert, weil der Originalsprung – die Arschbombe – auch in anderen Sprachen das Word Bombe beinhaltet:
Englisch: Poolbomb oder Cannonball
Italienisch: Tuffo a Bomba
Da wollen wir gegenwirken, denn „Splashdiving“ stellt sich klar gegen Gewalt und Rassismus und setzt sich für ein friedliches Miteinander und humanitäre Hilfe ein.
Deshalb forderten wir ALLE auf, eine Arschbombe – also eine Loving #PeaceBomb – zu Gunsten von “Sanctuary for Kids” zu machen; mit einem ganz tollen Resultat:
